Laser RCT follows the same protocol as traditional single sitting RCT. Laser is used after cleaning and shaping of root canals for additional disinfection in the canals. This ensures complete sterilization of canals eliminating any chance of re-infection in the RCT.
Once RCT is done, the crown restores original tooth structure, ensures proper functioning of tooth and prevents fracture of remaining tooth structure. It also seals the filling done in root canals which is the most important factor in preventing re-infection.
